A woman who posted a video of herself holding a decapitated owl has been killed in an apparent assassination.
Mileydis Aldana Herazo, 21, was murdered just in front of her home in the neighbourhood of Luis Carlos Galan in the municipality of Corozal, Colombia, on December 13.
She was reportedly shot by two suspects who approached her on a motorbike and gunned her down.
Herazo was shot her a total of six times in her chest, left arm and left leg.
She was rushed to hospital but pronounced dead on arrival.
Police have not yet confirmed a motive for the attack, but said Herazo had a criminal record for the production and sale of narcotics.
She was also being investigated on charges of animal abuse.
The investigation is ongoing.
Back in June, Aldana caused furore when she posted a video of herself killing a large white barn owl online.
Footage showed her wearing a white cap, blue jeans and a polkadot top – while posing with the body of the bird in one hand and its head in her other.

Aldana had received online threats after realising her controversial video.
Colombia's environmental agency had started an investigation into Aldana’s alleged crimes after outraged members of the public had notified them of the video she posted.
She was being investigated on charges of animal abuse before her death.
Earlier this month, shocking police bodycam footage showed a woman hurling her owndogover the railings of a first-floor motel and down onto the concrete below.
