A member of the vicious MS-13 gang has been charged with the murder of a teen who was lured into woods, slashed with machetes, shot and buried in a pit.
Jeustin David Maldonado, 22, from Long Island, New York, is already in prison having been convicted of killing 16-year-old Alexon Moya in December 2016.
Maldonado is also linked to two other murders, and has now been charged with that of Osmin Campos-Sandoval, 19, who was attacked in woodland in the Hempstead area of Long Island.
Campos-Sandoval's skeletal remains were discovered on October 6, 2020, by a New York State Police Department cadaver-sniffer dog.
Police say that he was killed as part of a gang dispute, on or around June 1, 2016, with Maldonado becoming the fifth person arrested in connection to the incident.
Sandra Tobar Mejia, Christian Rodriguez, Gerson Stanley Juarez and Raul Ponce have all been charged with second-degree murder.
Maldonado pleaded guilty to the killing of Moya, landing him in jail, and also faces two other murder charges as well as the Campos-Sandoval charge.
Authorities found the skeletal remains of Gerson Pineda on July 20, 2020, with Maldonado accused of also luring him to a wooded area near Meadowbrook Parkway before hacking and beating him to death on September 10, 2015.
He is also accused of the August 23, 2016, killing of Bryan Lemus, 18, who was lured by gang members into the Massapequa Reserve whilst he was walking his dog.

There, as with the other killings, the teen was slashed with machetes and buried in a pit, with police discovering the body on May 24, 2019.
The Moya killing – to which Maldonado pleaded guilty – was different, in that the young teen was a bystander rather than a rival gang member.
Maldonado and his accomplice, Edar Ventura, had pulled up in a car next to a gang rival before Ventura fired multiple shots, hitting the innocent Moya in the head.
