Two randy tourists have sparked outrage after they were spotted having sex on a beach in a popular holiday hotspot.
The X-rated scene was filmed by a local at a beach in Bali, Indonesia, who watched in astonishment as the couple romped on the moonlit sand as the waves lapped around them.
The naked couple continued their act for more than three minutes and some locals could be heard saying in the background that "they should report the foreigners to the police".
Authorities received reports of the incident, which happened on Wednesday (June 15), and are looking to identify the couple.
It was unclear which beach on the popular holiday island it happened on but the region is popular with British, Australian and American holidaymakers.
Mengwi Police Chief Kompol I Nyoman Darsana said: "There were claims that the video happened in Pererenan beach, but it seemed that it did not happen there at all.
"We already investigated the location but local officers said that we had the wrong beach."
Pererenan village official Perbekel Nyoman Sumartana added: "As soon as the video circulated, we immediately coordinated with the police.
"We're not sure, but it doesn't seem so. The waves here tend to be big, especially at night when there's high tide.
"The waves on the video were gentle."
Police Chief Kompol said that they were now coordinating with coastal security patrolling the beach at night as well as interviewing local officials from nearby villages to find a lead on the exhibitionist couple.
Residents on Bali are mainly Hindu but the island follows the laws of Indonesia, which is the largest Muslim-majority country in the world. Acts of public indecency are punishable by up to two years and eight months in prison.
While anyone who produces pornography could face up to 15 years in jail and a two billion rupiah fine (£110,528).
