Unseen video clips will give an insight into Michael’s life in the new film. Titled Schumacher, it is set to be released on September 15 – and covers the career of the F1 legend. The seven-time champion, 52, suffered a serious skiing accident eight years ago in the French Alps.

Schumacher’s life was saved by a ski helmet and he was placed in an induced coma.

He has not been seen in public since suffering the life-changing injury.

Speaking in the trailer, Corrina Schumacher’s wife says she can still feel her husband’s strength.

She said: “I just felt that he is somebody special.

“I think that he is simply very strong mentally. Extremely strong. He still shows me how strong he is every day.”

Also, in the trailer his two children Mick and Gina-Maria spoke about their father.

Mick said: “When I look at him, I think, I want to be like that.”

Gina-Marie added: “Well he is my dad, and I’m glad that he is.”

Michael Schumacher has seven World Drivers’ Championship titles.

During recent years, his health has been kept private to his fans.

Sabine Kehm, Schumacher’s manager, spoke about why his health was kept private in 2016.

She said: “In general the media have never reported on Michael and Corinna’s private life. When he was in Switzerland, for example, it was clear he was a private individual.

“Once in a long discussion Michael said to me ‘you don’t need to call me for the next year, I’m disappearing’.

“I think it was his secret dream to be able to do that some day. That’s why now I still want to protect his wishes in that I don’t let anything get out.”

In the documentary, his brother Ralf, Sebastian Vettel and Bernie Ecclestone make appearances.
