A magnitude 6.3 earthquake that has hit sections of both India and Nepal has confirmed to have killed three people, The Times of India reported.
The collapse of a house in the Doti district of Nepal led to the three fatalities.
The quake was confirmed according to India’s National Centre for Seismology and was centred in Nepal, began at 1.57am local time on Wednesday morning.
Major cities like Delhi could feel the tremors of the earthquake and was strong to awaken many residents of the Indian city.
It was the second earthquake to hit Nepal in 24 hours after suffering a 4.5 magnitude one on Tuesday.
The Independent’s Asia correspondent Arpan Rai said Wednesday's quake "lasted for over a good minute" and was "definitely one of the strongest" in recent times.
She said "massive shakes" were caused.
Numerous residents of both Nepal and India recorded footage of their experiences during the quake, with bed frames seen shaking as well as ceiling fans seen aggressively swinging back and forth.
