Madeleine McCann’s mum and dad still think they will be reunited with her – because they “believe in miracles”.

Doctors Kate and Gerry sent the message of hope as they approach the grim 14-year anniversary of their daughter’s disappearance.

The heartbroken parents said: “Never stop believing in hope because miracles happen everyday.”

On the Official Find Madeleine Campaign Facebook page – run for them by a friend – they thanked well-wishers for continuing to look for the girl, right, who vanished on holiday in Portugal in 2007, aged three.

They said: “We want to send a heartfelt thank you to all who continue to be by our side.

“We still believe in miracles.”

Hundreds responded with prayer and love heart emojis.

Though German police insist they have evidence Madeleine is dead, the couple believe she could still be alive. She would turn 18 on May 12.

The Metropolitan Police are still treating it as a missing person investigation. And the McCanns, both 53 and from Rothley, Leics, share the UK force’s optimism.
