Liverpool goalie Alisson’s wife urged to ‘make him better’ as he misses 7-2 rout

Liverpool's injured goalkeeper Alisson has seen his wife bombarded with messages on Instagram after his replacement let seven goals in during Sunday's Premier League clash.

The Reds' first-choice 'keeper is set to miss the next six weeks through injury, but his stand-in Adrian had a disastrous day between the sticks as the Anfield side were thrashed 7-2 by Aston Villa.

Natalia Becker, Alisson's wife, found herself on the receiving end of messages from desperate Liverpool fans who want the Brazilian ace back in goal.

As a trained doctor currently working for the World Health Organisation, Natalia is in a better position than most, but Alisson's shoulder injury may be beyond her.

That didn't stop Reds fans from messaging her, with a number leaving comments below her latest Instagram post celebrating Alisson's 28th birthday.

One wrote: "Feed your man some milk I hate seeing Adrian in goal."

Another wished Alisson well in a comment followed by a string of "prayer signs" emojis.

While a third angry fan sent abuse, commenting: "You need to lose weight and be fit! How can you be this injury prone?" underneath the sweet family photo.

  • Liverpool's mean defence ripped to shreds by Aston Villa to hand Jurgen Klopp humbling day

Former West Ham keeper Adrian was at fault for Villa's first goal which saw last season's Premier League champions concede seven in a game for the first time since April 1963.

After the game, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp confirmed the bad news that Alisson would be out for up to six weeks and will miss the Merseyside derby after injuring his shoulder during a training session at Melwood on Saturday.

But he insisted Alisson's replacement Adrian wasn't to blame for the shocking defeat.

  • Graeme Souness believes Aston Villa 'left the grass long' for visit of Liverpool

He told a press conference: "It is so easy for people to go for Adrian.

"The first goal was not too cool, of course, but apart from that, I don't think he had anything to do with all the other goals pretty much.

"We didn't help him tonight, let me say it like this.

"So, he is a really good goalie who played 11 games for us last year and that is all fine."

Alisson and Natalia have been dating since 2012 after meeting in their native Brazil and tied the knot in 2015.

They have two children, three-year-old Helena and Matteo, one.
