Investigators of fatal hit-and-run incident seek the public’s help.

Investigators of a fatal hit-and-run incident in Adams County are asking for the public’s help in identifying a vehicle and its driver.

At about 1:55 a.m. Sunday, a pedestrian was crossing Federal Boulevard at West 60th Avenue, from west to east, when he was hit by a southbound vehicle, according to the Colorado State Patrol. The driver fled and the pedestrian, Anthony Martinez, 39, of Aurora, died at the scene.

The vehicle is described as a mid-2000s Nissan King Cab pickup, dark in color. It has front-end damage, including a missing portion of the grill, missing the front “Nissan” emblem, and possibly missing the front bumper. The truck may have an LED light bar on the roof. It was last seen southbound on Federal after the crash.
