A tiny historic gatehouse with a kitchen in the basement is on the market for a cool £225,000.
Inside what must be one of Britain's smallest homes are underground country-style living quarters kitted out with a snug but posh bathroom.
The Georgian property is one of two cube-shaped gatehouses on the Grimston Park Estate in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, where generations of royalty have stopped by since the 19th century.
House hunters will be hard pushed to find a smaller detached home to downsize to than the Grade II listed home which its estate agents describe as being "steeped in history".

The home comes complete with underground living quarters and spiral staircase, and is one of two gatehouses that can be found at the entrance of the Georgian country house in the park.
The mezzanine area is finished with olive green wooden planks and vintage-style wall lights.
Down the stairs is the 13ft long basement, complete with tiny living area, kitchen and bathroom kitted out with character furniture.
