A 14-year-old girl has tragically died after an alleged hit and run, as a man is charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
The victim suffered serious injuries after she was struck by a BMW around 8.15am on October 5 while crossing the road in Moston, north Manchester.
She was rushed to hospital and pronounced dead this morning, October 7, the Manchester Evening News reports.
Kevin Pryce, 45, of Quail Street in Oldham, Greater Manchester, has been charged in connection with the collision.
He faces charges of causing death by dangerous driving, causing death whilst uninsured, failing to stop/failing to report a road traffic collision and driving otherwise in accordance with a license.

Pryce has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court today.
The BMW was travelling south along Lightbowne Road at the time of the crash.
The incident prompted a major emergency response, including an air ambulance, land ambulances, rapid response vehicles and advanced paramedics.
Police taped off Lightbowne Road, as well as nearby Nuthurst Road and Kenyon Lane in Moston for several hours.
