Elon Musk sparks conspiracy theory meltdown with Tweet about ‘hardest goodbye’

Despite being known for his erratic tweeting, people are baffled by Tesla founder Elon Musk's latest tweet about his "hardest goodbye."

“You are my favorite hello,” the SpaceX and Tesla CEO tweeted this morning. “And my hardest goodbye.”

Futurism reported that this quote is generally associated with customisable memorabilia that feature the quote with a photo of a beloved pet who has passed.

This has sparked concerns for Floki, Musk’s adorable Shiba Inu pup. Musk fans have made a cryptocurrency named after his dog.

However, the quote could be a straightforward reference to the novel-turned-film P.S. I Love You by author Cecilia Ahern. The quote was the text of the love letter.

In response to the billionaire's tweet, one fan wrote: "What if Elon Musk is really an Alien that is just trying to get back to his home planet?"

A woman responded to this tweet joked: "And maybe Earth was his favorite hello and his hardest goodbye because he gets to go back home as we get nuked."

Another person, pulling no punches, said: "One of the most embarrassing posts in the history of posting."

"Is this account run by a 12-year-old girl?" added another.

The cryptic tweet comes after the world's richest man says he will have to delay some of his pet projects as SpaceX focuses on cyber defence following Russian attacks on the Starlink space internet system in Ukraine.

Starlink, which uses low-orbit satellites to beam ultrafast broadband to Earth, was activated in Ukraine after the country's government sent Elon Musk a personal request on Twitter.

This is to ensure that Ukrainians could still access the Internet during the Russian invasion.

However, Starlink has since been targeted by Russian signal jamming technology which has knocked the Starlink terminals out of action for hours at a time across the country.

In a series of tweets this weekend, Musk wrote: "SpaceX reprioritized to cyber defense & overcoming signal jamming. Will cause slight delays in Starship & Starlink V2."

He added: "Some Starlink terminals near conflict areas were being jammed for several hours at a time. Our latest software update bypasses the jamming. Am curious to see what’s next!"

Musk said previously that Starlink is the only "non-Russian" communications system still be working across Ukraine, and that the "probability of being targeted is high."
