Denver just experienced the ninth driest November on record, picking up 0.07 inches of rain. The dry and very warm weather continues into the beginning of December, with possible record highs ahead.
According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Denver will close in on a nearly 50-year-old record high to start 2021’s last month. Forecasters predict a 72-degree day on Wednesday, under mostly sunny skies. The record high for this date is 73 degrees, set in 1973. Temperatures will dip to 40 degrees overnight.
The record high for Dec. 2 is 74 degrees. A record is possible again on Thursday, with a projected high of a sunny 73 degrees. The low will drop to 37 degrees.
Friday will be slightly cooler, with a high well above average still at 61 degrees.
It will be a mild weekend, with a chance of snow in the hills on Monday and possibly on the plains on Tuesday.
