Denver parking enforcement will resume June 1 after coronavirus hiatus

Some parking regulations that Denver stopped enforcing when the coronavirus pandemic struck will resume next month.

Starting June 1, downtown-area parking meters will be operational between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10 p.m., according to a Denver news release. Downtown meters will be free from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. Parking meters outside downtown will be on and operate at the prices, times and time limits posted, the release said.

Enforcement of time-limited, non-metered parking spaces and residential parking programs will also resume. Residents eligible for residential parking permits should apply now and can check eligibility online and find more parking information at

Enforcement of of street sweeping postings will resume July 1, according to the release. School bus loading zones will not be enforced until school is back in session.
