A pastor was left shocked after a fight broke out between two church-goers during a sermon on Boxing Day.
Police were called to a brawl at the Olivet Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee after the church service was put to halt on Sunday.
Dramatic footage showed the pastor talking before he was interrupted by a guest who started the dispute with another attendee who was sitting in the front row.
The man, who has since been identified as Marcus Trammell Williams, walked up to a youth pastor and punched him in the head, TMZ reports
In widely circulated footage, the man who was seen sitting down instantly reacted and the pair were filmed hitting each other before they moved off-screen.
Pastor Kevin Adams could be heard saying "stop it Marcus" before someone ended the Church's live stream.
The man who was punched reportedly told officers that Williams had previously threatened him a few months ago after he thought that the man had insulted his mum, according to a statement obtained by ABC.
The statement by the victim detailed that Williams: "Walked up on me and swing at me for no reason."
It was reported that Williams refused to speak to investigators who responded to the incident.
Pastor Adams has since spoken about the brawl and said that Williams had just gotten out of rehab when he targeted the youth pastor.

He suggested that he may have relapsed because he reportedly didn't know where he was.
Adams went on to say that they managed to calm him down and said the church fully supports him in going back to rehab.
Authorities arrested Williams and he was later charged with assault.
